PTO from IVECO Gearbox
Gearbox of the drive by means of flanges or fasteners on the side part to the left of the gearbox from the group gear shaft is possible. The required technical specifications are given in the documentation available on request for the various gearboxes. It shows the torque levels available for different types of PTO with ratios between output speed and engine speed.
The values correspond to the conditions indicated in the table. Higher values for occasional use must be authorised on a case-by-case basis, depending on the type of use. Check the vehicle to confirm the possibility of installing a PTO suitable for the size of the vehicle.
The PTO applied to the gearbox must only be used when the vehicle is stationary and must be engaged and disengaged when the clutch is disengaged to avoid excessive stress on the synchromesh during gear changes. In special cases when the power take-off is in use and the vehicle is in motion, the gears must not be changed.
In gearboxes equipped with a torque converter, as a rule, the same PTO as that used for normal gearboxes can be used. It must be remembered that when the engine speed is below 60 per cent of the maximum saddle, the converter will be in the hydraulic speed stage, in which the power take-off speed will be subject to oscillation, although the engine speed will be constant depending on the power absorbed.
